Orchid flowers are often been given symbolisms since the ancient times because of being exotic. In ancient Greece, these flowers represent virility. For them, if a father ate large and new orchid tubers, his to-be-born baby would be a boy, In contrast, if the mother ate the small ones, the baby would be born as a girl.
